The DLE 20cc Rear Exhaust Gas Engine (DLE20RA) is a compact and powerful single-cylinder two-stroke engine engineered for RC model aircraft requiring a streamlined exhaust setup. Producing 2.5 horsepower at 9,000 RPM, this engine is designed for both sport and aerobatic flying, offering dependable power in a lightweight format.

With its rear exhaust layout, the DLE20RA is ideal for scale and cowled aircraft where a side exhaust would interfere with design or airflow. The 20cm³ displacement, 10.5:1 compression ratio, and NGK CM6 spark plug ensure smooth, efficient operation. The electronic ignition system is compatible with 4.8V–8.4V, providing consistent and reliable performance.

The DLE20RA is lighter and more compact than many alternatives, weighing just 660g for the main engine, 80g for the muffler, and 140g for the ignition unit. Static thrust testing shows 6.3kg at 100m altitude and 5.6kg at 1800m altitude, giving strong performance even at higher elevations.

The recommended 30:1 lubrication ratio supports engine longevity, while a broad propeller compatibility range (14x10, 15x8, 16x6, 17x6) allows flexibility for different aircraft and flying styles.

For safe and reliable operation, use thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243) during installation, follow proper break-in procedures, and always check mounts, propeller, and fasteners before flying.
