DLE 30cc Side Exhaust Gas Engine (DLE30) – 3.7HP RC Airplane Engine with NGK CM6

The DLE 30cc Side Exhaust Gas Engine delivers a perfect balance of power, reliability, and efficiency for larger RC model aircraft. Producing 3.7 horsepower at 8,500 RPM, this single-cylinder two-stroke engine is designed for precision aerobatics, scale models, and sport flying that demand dependable performance.

With its side exhaust layout, the DLE30 is straightforward to install and fits a wide range of airframes. It features a 30.5cm³ displacement, 36mm × 30mm bore and stroke, and a 7.6:1 compression ratio for smooth and consistent operation. The NGK CM6 spark plug paired with an electronic ignition system (4.8V–8.4V) ensures reliable starts and steady running.

Engine weight is kept low at 920g for the main unit, with an additional 60g for the exhaust and 130g for the ignition, providing an excellent power-to-weight ratio. Static thrust testing confirms 8.5kg at 100m altitude and 7.5kg at 1800m altitude, making the DLE30 a strong choice for a wide variety of RC airplanes.

This engine is designed to run on a 30:1 lubrication ratio and is compatible with a broad propeller range including 18x8, 18x10, 19x8, and 20x8.

For safe and long-lasting operation, always install with thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243), follow proper break-in procedures, and ensure the engine mount, propeller, and all fasteners are checked before each flight.
