DLE 40cc twin-cylinder gas engine, 4.8HP with NGK CM6 plug. Smooth, reliable power for large RC scale and aerobatic airplanes.
The DLE 40cc Twin Cylinder Gas Engine is built for RC pilots who demand high power, smooth operation, and consistent reliability. Producing 4.8 horsepower at 8,500 RPM, this twin-cylinder two-stroke engine provides excellent performance for large-scale aircraft, aerobatic models, and demanding flyers.
With its 40cm³ displacement, 32mm × 25mm bore and stroke, and 10.5:1 compression ratio, the DLE40 delivers efficient combustion and steady performance across the full throttle range. Its twin-cylinder configuration reduces vibration compared to single-cylinder engines, resulting in smoother operation and less stress on your airframe.
The DLE40 is equipped with an NGK CM6 spark plug and a high-quality electronic ignition system (4.8V–8.4V) for reliable starts and consistent running. It weighs 1170g for the main engine, with an additional 110g for the exhaust system and 170g for the ignition unit, maintaining a solid power-to-weight ratio for its class.
Static thrust performance measures 9.5kg at 100m altitude and 8.5kg at 1800m altitude, making it capable of powering large-scale and aerobatic RC aircraft with confidence. The recommended propeller range includes 19x8, 19x10, 20x8, and 20x10, offering flexibility for different flying styles.
This engine is designed to run on a 30:1 lubrication ratio for long-lasting durability. For safe operation, always use thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243), follow proper break-in procedures, and confirm all hardware and mounting components are secure before flight.
