The DLE 55cc Rear Exhaust Gas Engine (DLE55RA) is a powerful single-cylinder two-stroke engine designed for large-scale RC aircraft requiring a clean, compact exhaust setup. Delivering 5.5 horsepower at 8,500 RPM, the DLE55RA offers excellent thrust and smooth operation for aerobatic and scale airplanes.

Its rear exhaust configuration makes it ideal for cowled models or streamlined installations where side exhaust routing is impractical. Featuring a 55.6cm³ displacement, 45mm × 35mm bore and stroke, and a 7.6:1 compression ratio, the DLE55RA combines strength, efficiency, and reliability.

Equipped with an NGK CM6 spark plug and an electronic ignition system (4.8V–8.4V), the engine ensures consistent performance and easy starts. Weighing 1330g for the main engine, plus 150g for the exhaust and 140g for the ignition unit, it maintains a competitive power-to-weight ratio in its class.

Static thrust output reaches 14.5kg at 100m altitude and 12.8kg at 1800m altitude, making the DLE55RA a dependable choice for high-performance applications. Recommended propellers include 22x8, 22x10, 23x8, and 23x10, offering flexibility for different flying styles and airframes.

The engine runs on a 30:1 lubrication ratio for durability and longevity. For safe use, apply thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243) during assembly, follow proper break-in procedures, and check all hardware before every flight.
