DLE 120cc twin-cylinder gas engine, 12HP with NGK CM6 plugs. High-thrust power for giant-scale aerobatic and scale RC aircraft.
The DLE 120cc Twin Cylinder Gas Engine is a powerhouse designed for giant-scale RC aircraft. Delivering 12 horsepower at 7,500 RPM, this engine provides exceptional thrust and smooth operation, making it ideal for aerobatic giants, IMAC competition models, and large-scale RC airplanes.
With a twin-cylinder configuration, the DLE120 offers smoother operation and reduced vibration compared to single-cylinder engines, preserving airframe longevity while providing precise throttle response. Its 120cm³ displacement, 47mm × 35mm bore and stroke, and 10.5:1 compression ratio combine to deliver reliable, high-efficiency power.
Equipped with dual NGK CM6 spark plugs and a precision electronic ignition system (4.8V–8.4V), the engine ensures dependable starts and consistent performance across varying conditions. At 2400g for the main engine, plus 300g for the exhaust system and 190g for the ignition unit, the DLE120 maintains an excellent power-to-weight balance in the giant-scale category.
Static thrust reaches an impressive 26.5kg at 100m altitude and 23.5kg at 1800m altitude, giving this engine the muscle needed to handle even the most demanding aerobatics. Recommended propellers include 26x10, 26x12, 27x10, and 28x10, allowing customization for performance and style of flying.
The DLE120 runs on a 30:1 lubrication ratio for durability and long service life. As with all DLE engines, installation should be completed using thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243), proper break-in procedures should be followed, and all fasteners should be inspected before every flight for safety.
