DLE 120cc Four-Cylinder Gas Engine (DLE120T4) – 12HP RC Airplane Engine

The DLE 120cc Four-Cylinder Gas Engine (DLE120T4) is a unique, high-performance engine launched in May 2020. As DLE’s smallest displacement four-cylinder two-stroke engine, it delivers smooth power and reduced vibration while maintaining compact dimensions for giant-scale RC aircraft.

Producing 12 horsepower at 7,500 RPM, the DLE120T4 provides strong thrust and excellent throttle response for aerobatic and scale models. With its four-cylinder configuration, this engine minimizes vibration and enhances balance, extending airframe longevity and delivering smoother, more precise control.

It features a 120cm³ displacement, 36mm × 30mm bore and stroke, and a 7.1:1 compression ratio. The engine is equipped with DLE CM6 spark plugs and an advanced electronic ignition system (4.8V–12V) for reliable starts and consistent operation.

At just 920g for the main engine, plus 500g for the exhaust system and 140g for the ignition unit, the DLE120T4 provides an exceptional power-to-weight ratio for its class. Static thrust performance measures 26.5kg at 100m altitude and 23.5kg at 1800m altitude, ensuring reliable power delivery across a range of flying environments.

Recommended propellers include 27x10, 26x12, and 28x10, allowing pilots to fine-tune performance for aerobatic precision or long-duration flights. The engine runs on 92-octane (or higher) unleaded gasoline mixed with oil at a 30:1 ratio. For reliability, always use the same brand of high-quality engine oil—mixing oils from different manufacturers is strictly prohibited, as it can cause carburetor blockage.
