DLE 35cc Rear Exhaust Gas Engine (DLE35RA) – 4.1HP RC Airplane Engine with NGK CM6

The DLE 35cc Rear Exhaust Gas Engine (DLE35RA) is a high-output single-cylinder two-stroke engine designed for larger RC model aircraft. Delivering 4.1 horsepower at 8,500 RPM, it provides exceptional thrust and reliable performance for aerobatic and scale airplanes.

With its rear exhaust configuration, the DLE35RA is ideal for cowled and streamlined aircraft designs where side exhaust systems may not fit. Its 34.9cm³ displacement, 38.5mm × 30mm bore and stroke, and 7.6:1 compression ratio deliver smooth and consistent operation across a broad RPM range.

Equipped with an NGK CM6 spark plug and an electronic ignition system compatible with 4.8V–8.4V, the DLE35RA ensures reliable starts and steady operation in all conditions.

Engine weight is optimized at 930g for the main engine, with an additional 120g for the exhaust system and 140g for the ignition unit, maintaining a strong power-to-weight ratio. Static thrust testing shows 9kg at 100m altitude and 7.8kg at 1800m altitude, making it a dependable choice for demanding pilots.

The engine is designed to run on a 30:1 lubrication ratio and supports a wide propeller selection, including 18x10, 19x8, 20x8, and 20x10, giving pilots the flexibility to fine-tune performance.

For safety and durability, always secure all hardware with thread-locking adhesive (Loctite 242/243), follow proper break-in procedures, and inspect engine mount and propeller hardware before every flight.
