The CYS-S0005 5g micro analog servo is designed for small RC aircraft and similar models where every gram counts but you still need dependable control response. Running on a standard receiver supply of 4.8V to 6.0V, it delivers approximately 0.8kg/cm torque at 4.8V and 1.0kg/cm at 6.0V with transit speeds around 0.12sec/60° and 0.10sec/60° respectively, which is more than enough for well hinged control surfaces on light airframes. The compact plastic gear train keeps weight down while maintaining reliable operation when the servo is used within its specified torque range.
With a case size of roughly 21.5mm x 11.8mm x 20.9mm and a weight of about 5g, the CYS-S0005 fits easily into micro servo bays in foam board designs, small balsa models and park flyers. It is primarily intended for electric models, although it can be used on aircraft with engines when you mount it with the supplied rubber grommets or other vibration damping to reduce engine vibration reaching the servo. A standard three wire lead with JR style connector means it plugs straight into most modern receivers and flight controllers without any adapters.
For RC builders the CYS-S0005 5g micro servo is a practical choice for equipping small aircraft, keeping a few spares in the field box or experimenting with lightweight flying wings and micro projects. It gives you a predictable balance of speed, torque and size in the familiar 5g class, making it a sensible step up from generic 3g units when you want a little more authority without jumping to a full 9g servo.
