The FlySky FS T4B is a simple, no fuss four channel radio for fixed wing aircraft, gliders and basic boats. It is a good choice for trainers, park flyers, slope soarers and bait boats where you need reliable AFHDS 2.4GHz control without the complexity of a full computer radio. With standard gimbals, built in servo reverse switches and a familiar four channel layout, it feels very natural for pilots who are moving up from older 27MHz sets or bundled toy grade radios.

The FS T4B is a straightforward four channel radio designed mainly for fixed wing aircraft and gliders. It is well suited to trainers, park flyers, slope soarers and simple boats or bait boats that only need throttle, rudder and basic auxiliary control. If you want advanced mixing, telemetry or many extra channels, a computer radio like the FS i6X is a better choice.
The FS T4B uses FlySky AFHDS 2.4GHz technology, which is a frequency hopping digital system designed to reduce interference and keep the link stable. It is intended to work with AFHDS compatible receivers, including the bundled four or six channel receiver in the set. It does not use AFHDS 2A or AFHDS 3, so it is not designed to bind to newer FlySky transmitters that only speak those protocols.
The FS T4B provides four proportional channels, which on a typical aircraft map to aileron, elevator, throttle and rudder. The left stick normally handles throttle and rudder, and the right stick handles elevator and aileron, with trim levers for each axis. This makes it a good match for most standard four channel trainers and sport models.
The FS T4B is a basic four channel radio with a simple layout and trim and servo reverse switches. It does not have a menu system, model memory, complex mixing or an LCD screen. That simplicity is a benefit if you want a radio that works out of the box for standard four channel models without needing programming, but it is not intended as an advanced computer radio.
The FS T4B operates in the 2.4GHz band using AFHDS spread spectrum with up to about 1000 metres of range in the air under good conditions. In normal club flying use, with the receiver installed correctly and the antenna kept clear of carbon and metal, it provides stable, interference free control for typical sport and trainer models. As with any 2.4GHz system, actual range depends on the installation, orientation of antennas and the environment.
The FS T4B transmitter uses eight AA batteries and has a low voltage alarm that activates when the pack drops below about 9 volts. You can use either alkaline or rechargeable AA cells, and there is a dedicated charge port if you fit suitable rechargeables. The radio has a PS2 format DSC or PPM port on the back, which can be used with a compatible USB adapter or simulator dongle to connect the transmitter to an RC flight simulator on a computer.
