The Gensace Soaring 2200mAh 11.1V 3S 30C LiPo Battery Pack is a dependable power source for a wide range of RC aircraft, especially electric gliders and sport models that spend a lot of time in the air. With a 2200mAh capacity and a 30C discharge rating, it delivers a steady, responsive power output for climbs, launches and general aerobatics without adding unnecessary weight to the airframe.

This pack uses the classic 3S 2200 size that fits many foam, balsa and composite airframes with very little adjustment. At around 175g and with dimensions of roughly 106.5mm x 35mm x 21.5mm, it offers a practical balance between endurance and agility, making it a good choice for thermal gliders, motor gliders, trainers and everyday sport planes.

Pre soldered XT60 and balance connectors make integration straightforward with most modern ESCs and chargers. Used with a proper LiPo compatible balance charger and sensible low voltage cut off settings, this Soaring 2200mAh 3S pack will give you repeatable performance and reliable runtimes flight after flight.

Typical uses for this 2200mAh 3S pack
Electric gliders and motor gliders, trainers, park flyer warbirds and everyday sport planes that are designed around a 3S 2200mAh LiPo with an XT60 connector.

LiPO Battery FAQ

You choose a LiPo pack based on three main numbers, voltage, capacity and C rating. Voltage comes from the cell count, for example 2S is 7.4v, 3S is 11.1v. Capacity in mAh affects flight time, higher capacity usually gives longer runtimes but also more weight. C rating indicates how much current the pack can safely supply. Your model and ESC manual will normally list a recommended cell count and an approximate capacity range to use as a guide.
The S number tells you how many cells are connected in series inside the pack. A 2S pack has two cells and a nominal voltage of 7.4v, a 3S pack has three cells and 11.1v, and a 4S pack has four cells and 14.8v. Higher S counts give more voltage to the motor, which usually means more power but also higher load on the ESC and motor. You must only use the cell count that your model and electronics are designed for.
The C rating is a guide to how much current the pack can safely deliver. You can estimate the continuous current limit by multiplying the pack capacity in amp hours by the C rating. For example a 2200mAh pack is 2.2Ah, at 30C that is roughly 2.2 times 30 which equals 66 amps. These numbers are guidelines, not guarantees, so it is sensible to choose a pack with some safety margin above the maximum current your model is expected to draw.
LiPo batteries must always be charged with a LiPo compatible balance charger using the correct cell count and charge current. A common rule is to charge at 1C, which means a 2200mAh pack is charged at 2.2 amps. The balance plug must be connected so the charger can monitor each cell. Packs should be charged on a non flammable surface and should not be left unattended while charging.
LiPo batteries last longest when they are stored partially charged rather than full or completely flat. Most chargers have a storage mode that charges or discharges the pack to about 3.75 to 3.85 volts per cell. Packs should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sharp objects, and should be checked periodically so that they do not sit for long periods at very low voltage.
Most models will start to feel noticeably down on power when the LiPo is getting low. It is best to land or stop as soon as you feel that drop rather than squeezing out extra minutes. Many ESCs have a low voltage cut off that will reduce power or shut the motor down to protect the pack. As a rule of thumb, aim to use only about 70 to 80 percent of the pack’s capacity and keep the voltage under load from dropping much below about 3.5 volts per cell during use.
