1mm balsa sheet is not the easiest thing to find, but again with Flitelab no problem. I ordered two sheets, they are both what I would call medium hardness. It would have been "Awesome" if on had been soft. But they will do the job, neither are really hard, which would have disappointed me.

I needed this 1.5mm carbon rod for a small 2D plane I am rebuilding. I was having difficulty sourcing this size, but Flitelab to the rescue!

It is physically smaller than I expected, which is great. It also has more safety features than I expected. The peak power spike capability of 15 amps is amazing, I am using mine in a six cell setup, although apparently it can handle up to eight cells. I also really like the fact I can select the output voltage - I chose six volts. Finally just to comment about FliteLab. They had stock I couldn't find elsewhere, and my order arrived in just a couple of days.
