The Prowler XT Foam Board Kit is a compact 688mm foam board RC plane from The Flite Lab Rapid Build Series, designed to give both newer and more experienced pilots a satisfying all round flying experience. With a typical all up weight of around 495g and a wing loading of 23g/dm², it offers smooth, predictable stability at low control throws for training flights, while retaining enough control authority and power range to transition into sport flying and aerobatics as your confidence grows.
The airframe uses precision laser cut Creator Foam and ply parts for a strong, consistent structure, with a pre-cut canopy specifically designed to house FPV equipment. At low rates the Prowler XT behaves like a friendly trainer, ideal for circuits, approaches and touch and go landings. Increasing the throws wakes the airframe up, turning it into a lively sport model that can perform quick rolls, loops and more aggressive manoeuvres, making it one of those foam board RC planes you can keep in the car and enjoy at almost any suitable flying field.
Electronics are based around common, affordable components. The kit is intended to run on 2x 9g servos, a brushless motor capable of roughly 800g of thrust, a 7 inch electric propeller, a 20–30A ESC and a suitable LiPo battery, controlled by at least a 4 channel radio system. Because it follows standard foam board building techniques and comes with a downloadable Prowler XT manual, the build is straightforward for anyone with basic model building experience and a good introduction to foam board RC aircraft for newer builders.
