Building Accessories
The Excalibur Delta Wing Foam Board Kit is part of The Flite Lab Rapid Build Series and is designed to go together quickly while still flying like a serious model. With a 916mm wingspan, a typical all up weight around 448g and a low wing loading of 19.5g/dm², it offers stable handling, gentle stall behaviour and enough performance for sport flying, simple aerobatics and FPV cruising.
The airframe is built from precision laser cut foam and ply parts with carbon tube push rods and preformed 0.9mm piano wire linkages, giving a stiff but lightweight delta wing that holds trim well. The pusher motor layout keeps the propeller and power system out of harm’s way on nose heavy arrivals, and the central equipment bay has been laid out so you can plan LiPO, receiver and FPV gear during the build rather than cutting into the wing afterwards.
On a typical setup with 2x 9g servos, a brushless motor capable of around 800g of thrust, an 8 to 9 inch propeller, a 30A ESC and a 3S LiPO, the Excalibur will hand launch cleanly, cruise comfortably at modest throttle and still have enough punch for big sweeping turns, rolls and mild combat. The low parts count and straightforward foam board construction make it a good first delta wing kit, while the wide power range means experienced pilots can set it up as a relaxed FPV platform or a more lively sport wing.

Excalibur Delta Wing FAQ
The Excalibur Delta Wing has a build difficulty of 1/5 and a flying difficulty of 2/5, so it is very easy to build and suitable for pilots who are comfortable with basic RC flying and want a stable, forgiving delta that can also handle sport flying and simple aerobatics. It works well as a first delta wing or as a relaxed everyday wing for more experienced pilots.
This kit is designed for general sport flying, basic aerobatics and FPV use. The stable delta planform and pusher layout give it predictable behaviour at moderate speeds, with enough performance to cruise, carve big turns and explore more dynamic flying as you build confidence.
To complete the Excalibur you will need 2x 9g servos, a brushless motor capable of around 800g of thrust, an 8 to 9 inch propeller, a 30A ESC, a suitable LiPo battery matched to your motor and at least a 4 channel transmitter and receiver. These electronics are not included in the kit and must be purchased separately.
